What is the point of the dialler function on pda’s?

Hally asked:

I have a pda and I guess that because i use it for different things I can’t see the point of some of the other things it can be used for. My pda has a bluetooth phone dialler, what is the point of this? If I use it to call someone via my phone, don’t I have to go and open my phone and activate speaker phone in order to speak to them? Or is this application useful if you already have the headset in your ear?

The point is that you don’t have to punch in the phone number into your phone (or keep all your contact phone numbers in two places, the PDA memory and phone memory).

Call up your contact on the PDA, use the Bluetooth phone dialer, and the call is placed.

It saves you a couple of thumb presses. :)
